I Saw it on Pinterest & Did it ~ March

Hey all, and welcome to the 2nd I Saw it on Pinterest & Did it.
Last month there were some great entries!

Miss Kopy Kat shared her Book Page Wreath
If you didn't get a chance to see it before go now, she has a wonderful tutorial and I think her Book Page Wreath is the best done ever.

Onto March

When I was sick I found myself spending lots of time on Pinterest, and amazingly even though I was dizzy and nauseous I thought these sounded out of this world.  So the second I felt better I made them.
Brie and Apple Crescent Rolls by Dancing Branflakes
I apologize for the horrible pictures I took them with my phone while I was still a bit under the weather.
First off, if you know anything about me you know I changed the recipe.  I decided to use Gorgonzola instead of Bree, because of it's stronger flavor and I could only find chopped Pecans so that is what I used.
My finished products.
Now the evaluation.
These DO NOT work, the way I did them or the way that Dancing Branflakes did.
They tasted scrumptious but as soon as you bite into them the entire apple comes out.
My suggestions, and what I will be trying when I make them again are the following changes.
Apple:  Green, peeled and chopped into bite sized pieces
Cheese: Your choice but I am sticking with strong flavored cheeses
Nuts:  Your choice, but make sure they are bite sized
Breading: Phillo Dough, the crescent rolls masked the flavor of everything inside.

So what have you been up to?
Please link up, the link will be open until April 2nd.
Can't wait to see what everyone has been doing.

I Saw it on Pinterest and Did it! February

Hey all and welcome to the first I Saw it on Pinterest and Did it Linky Parties.
So here is how it works,
Post an image of what you saw on Pinterest with appropriate credits.

I saw this on Pinterest
At Home with Kim Vallee
New Uses for old Things
clicking on the above picture will take you to my Pinterest Board, where you can go directly to At Hoe With Kim Vallee's website or peruse more of my boards.

Now share your remake.

And Made This
We all have it, you know that pile of papers on the kitchen counter, or the table right inside the front door.  Well, when I saw the New uses for Old Things post on Pinterest I thought it could be a remedy for all that stuff.
And so far it has been!  Sunglasses no longer get lost in piles of paper or get grease spots on them from sitting on the kitchen counter.  I always know where my most recent coupons are, not that I ever remember to take them...but hey one step at a time.
My little girls latest creations no longer get smashed and tossed but displayed proudly.
And all those very important papers that pile up now have a perfect spot.
I slipped a thin peace of wood between the shutter and the wall and tacked it in place so the mail doesn't fall out.
Best of all, check out my counter!  Yep that used to be the home of all those papers and sunglasses and artwork.  Now I can use it for food!

Now it's your turn.  Don't have a post no worries, this party is open for three weeks!  Please be kind, when you link up visit other links and comment.  Comments make the blogging world smile.

I saw it on Pinterest and Did it ~ Monthly Linky Party Reminder

Hey Gang, this will be the last of the "reminder" posts, the real thing starts next week (and I will probably post early just to make sure I get the linky part thing right)

I saw This on Pinterest:
It is a Green Wood Cleaning Solution
By: The Make Your Own Zone
And I mixed it and used it.
Conclusion, my chairs no longer have the above Ewww but the mixture seemed to have left a coating on the wood.

Now that the wood was clean it was painfully obvious how dirty the cusions were.  Here is where things get tricky, I plan on re-doing the entire table and chairs so I didn't really want to spend that much time scrubbing but at the same time who knows when I will get around to the re-do.

So, I found This formula on Pinterest (there are a bunch)
Homemade all natural upholstery cleaner
Green Living:  How to Make Natural Upholstery Cleaner
Y'all have no idea how embarrased I am at showing you my dirty chairs.
Conclusion, it worked, the glitter is off along with whatever the other stuff was but really it took more elbow grease than anything else.  Maybe next time I will try a different formula.

My husband noticed so I guess they are cleaner and just the other day I was looking at them and they do look brighter.  So my vote is yes, and it didn't take me too long to do both cleanings.

I really hope you are going to link up with me, I'm thinking I'll post on Saturday.  Can't wait to see what everyone else has been trying out.

Saw it on Pinterest & Did It ~ Monthly Linky party reminder

Hey Gang
Just wanted to do a quick reminder of my upcoming Linky party, only 2 weeks away now!

So I thought I would do a sample post.

I Saw This (link to original pin) on Pinterest
By The Lettered Cottage

And I did it!
I followed the instructions and used all the same supplies as The Lettered Cottage did

I got my paint from Home Depot instead of Ace (we don't have one of those) and found the letters at Micheal's
My jar wasn't nearly as cool, no handle, but it was still a good size for floral arrangements.
Everything turned out perfectly on this one.

However when I went to make another one, it was winter and I placed the jar outside to spray paint it.  Either it was too cold or I didn't let the layers dry completely but the paint ran and wasn't nice and smooth.  I don't have a photo since it hit the trashcan, wish I had made one :(  It very well might have been considered a Pintrosity (one of my favorite blogs)

See so simple and fun, now you all know about a new pin, a new blog and how I interpreted it.
only 2 more weeks!
