Art by Wendy ~ Blissful ATC Swap returns ~ Fabulous Fabric!

Look look look what Wendy made for me!

This past month at Blissfull ATC Swap the theme was Fabric and I was partnered with the Wonderful Wendy of Art by Wendy
lace, lace and more lace, I love how it surrounds the image and the fabric tape measure along the bottom is a perfect stage for the St. Patties day queen.
She outdid herself with this collection, I just love that all three of her ATC's have a central theme and so appropriate for March, St. Patric's Day.
This one is covered in an awesome burlap but wait check out how that ribbon across the middle works...
Isn't that a fun little element, a ribbon pocket!
She made a little girl (above) and a little boy, when you place the ATC's in a set they are waving at one another, so perfect!
Te green fabric flowers (I don't know what to call them, I think I have discovered I am quite ignorant when it comes to terminology and fabric) are gorgeous and the button centers perfect.

Thank you Wendy, I love them!

Fabric, fabric and more fabric. A Blissfull ATC Swap

Hey Gang
this is the seconds set of ATC's that I have made for the Blissfull ATC Swap group.
The theme this month
Fabric
I challenged myself to use different fabrics in all different ways.
This one is my favorite, I used lace on the background and then seam binding (which I consider a form of fabric) to enhance her skirt.
All around the blogging world I've seen Stamping/Embossing on Velvet so I thought I would give it a try. Found a wonderful tutorial HERE
It didn't turn out as clear as I would have liked.

For my final Fabric ATC I fell in love with this image, printed on fabric.
I decided to turn it into a makeshift Cameo, put stuffing behind the image and sewed it town.

To cover the sewing I added the pearls and the bit of lace.
The flowers are also fabric.
Overall I say I learned a lot about different uses for fabric in art and how they react to certain glues etc.
I hope my partner likes what I have made her.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not ~ Blissful ATC Swap

Recently I've decided to branch out and join some art groups.  Step outside of my comfort zone and give my artwork a much needed injection.
I joined the Blissfull ATC Swaps group and the theme for February was,
"He Love's me, He Love's me Not"
The swap was 3 for 3.
I called this ATC, "You know from the very first kiss"
the image is one of mine from the Paintings of Romance Collage Sheet
But my favorite aspect is the broach type creation I did at the bottom I like to imagine it is what he would give her as an anniversary gift.
The second ATC I sent I called "Pairing them up"
When you open it up there is a list of boy names on the left and girl names on the right.  Busy Little Cupids make a list of who goes with who.  The inside images are from a Digital Collage Sheet Busy Little Cupids the outside image from Alpha Stamps.
And for my final ATC I went much more literal with the theme.
She is pulling petals from a flower, you know just like the traditional "He Love's me, He Love's me not" images.
I absolutely love the image, it too is one of mine from the Paintings of Romance Collage Sheet
I created the little book it is less than 1".
I hope my partner likes what I have created for her.
My partner was Kamali M. alas she is bloggless so I can't share any more of her art with you.  She took a totally different and very ingenious approach.  She used all three of her ATC's to spread the theme across.
The first ATC in the set start off with "He Love's Me
Then a short little poem by Emily Bronte
And the sad final ending of a broken heart.

I enjoyed this swap and creating for someone new.  I'm looking forward to more Blissful ATC Swaps in the future.

Cupid Pairs them up

I recently discovered a new swap group.
February's theme is
"He loves me, he loves me not"
I'm killing two birds with one stone with this piece.
A few weeks ago I shared with you Alpha Stamps newest swap, a Kit themed swap, and one of my pieces
January's swap is Doorways
you can still come join us!
Well, I am still playing with all the goodies I got in the kit.  And made this ATC for the Blissful ATC Swap Group using many items from the kit.
All those gorgeous beads came in the kit!
My latest escapade in the art world is learning how to make my own collage sheets.  Well, I did it!  Above I used one of my images.
Mens' names on one side.
Womens' on the other.
Now if cupid would just stop playing around and get to work we would know if
"he loves me, he loves me not"

I'm crossing my fingers that Alpha Stamps will pick up my collage sheet line.  If not I will be selling them in my etsy store and will make an announcement about it.

Hope you enjoy my
"Cupid Pairs Them Up" ATC
