Time to share another tea cup...this is one I bought for a swap I took part in with the Marie Antoinette Mail Art group. 
For the swap we got to say what we liked in our tea cups and she said that she liked pinks and deep reds, roses and a few other things. As you can see I hit the pink, red and roses bit of her request. The swap also required that we include our favorite tea and a small gift. When I read about my partners tea cup requests I took a swing over to ebay and started perusing. I found a few that I really liked but nothing that fit my partner. That was until I clicked on this image and that was all she wrote. I bought it right away and then went hunting for another one for myself (yes I know I have a problem).
This is an old pattern by Royal Albert that has been re-done a few times. This particular shape of cup is post WWII while the floral design is much older. So if you go looking you will find this design on a number of differently shaped pieces, which to me is cool...they match but yet they don't. My swap partner received her goodies a few days ago and was thrilled with this selection because believe it or not this is the pattern she has decided to collect for her china pattern. How cool is that, I started her China collection!
What a beautiful teacup! I too love these colors, and I adore Royal Albert China ~ they make some of the most beautiful pieces :) How wonderful you have started your swap partner's collection of this lovely china :)

I have no clue of what flower is that on my teacup. It´s a shame, I know, but I simply don't know; we don't have a flower like that down here, at least I've never seen one like that.

included a photo of the whole set to my post, because so many people seems to like it!
Its shape, that we call "canelado" and I think it´s called "fluted" in english used to be very very popular during the 1940s' down here.
