Welcome to my Le Mysterieux Carnival, before you continue I need to introduce you to some people.
Above is Ring Master and Carnival Owner Piere Blu.
And this is Joseph Smalls, an orphan boy trying desperately to find his place in the Carnival world.
"Joseph!" bellows Piere Blu as he makes his rounds before the Carnival opens. "Where are you boy?" The anger in his voice turning the word Where into Ver.
"Here sir." Answers a small boy whose uniform hanging on him like the sadness in his voice.
"Why is the Treat Stand not fully stocked? Why are the lights not on? How am I supposed to explain to our guests that there is nothing to eat?" Piere Blu jesters violently at each item as he lists them off.
Joseph shrugs his shoulders and kicks at the dirt.
"There are cake slices on the ground!" You can almost see the steam coming out of Piere Blu's ears.
"And only one Cotton Candy Cauldron! That is our best seller."
"Where have you been? What have you been doing when you should have been preparing my Treat Stand!"
"Well sir," Joseph hesitates to look up at the Ringmaster. "I've been at The Night Circus..."
Before Joseph can finish Piere grabs him by the shirt collar and lifts him off the ground.
"The Night Circus! The Night Circus! That's our competition boy, you know you are forbidden to go to that circus. Explain yourself now!"
Joseph, shaking all over says, "Sir, I was checking out their treat stand. Wanted to make yours better."
Piere Blu, shocked by the small boys answer and attempt to help his Carnival puts Joseph down gently. "And what did you find?"
"Well sir, it's all black and white and they only serve cupcakes, they're good but nothing like your Rotten Pumpkin Juice."
Piere Blu beams from ear to ear with this news, but the smile is only temporary. "Boy you better finish putting together this booth right now! I want Mummy Dust Mints and Laughing Cat Liquorish front and center. Don't forget the Skeleton Bone Jerky either! And get those lights on, I don't want to have to refund any more tickets!"
"Yes sir, yes sir, right away sir." Joseph answers and scurries away to finish putting together more of the bits and pieces for the Booth.
The End
Thanks so much for stopping by. As you can tell I didn't finish my booth :( I am poor Joseph. But I did work very hard on what I did get done so I wanted to share.
